All counselors have one goal in common: change. As diverse as the various counseling systems may be, they all see a need for change and use verbal means to bring about the change for the benefit of the counselee.

The Christian counseling difference is that the Bible is the basis for counseling because it deals with the same issues that all counseling does.

Scripture states:

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

It is this renewing of the mind, with the help of the Holy Spirit, and the use of the Bible that sets Christian counseling apart from other systems.

At the National Counseling Center you can request Christian Counseling and we will ensure that the principles of Scriptures are followed and we that we rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit in every counseling session.
